Tech Doc Indexing and Training

I've conducted indexing training and developed standard vocabularies for the following clients:

The Integrity Group—I conducted indexing training for this tech doc company's editors with a focus on identifying and making needed corrections to indexes generated from embedded markers/tags using Adobe FrameMaker and Microsoft Word.
Nokia—I conducted training for all technical writers on basic indexing skills with a focus on term selection guidelines and the importance of consistency, particularly in writing for the single-sourcing environment. I also developed a standard vocabulary list based on a cross-section of device user guides to help the writers streamline and standardize terminology for their indexing process.
Apple Servers—In consultation with subject matter experts, I developed a standard vocabulary list covering the material from all the user and technical guides for Mac OS X servers, to help the writers use more consistent terminology in their indexing process.
